So I met Chelsea and Matt a few years ago when they booked me for an extended family shoot. At the time we joked that, if they ever needed a newborn photographer, they should give me a call. Well… they gave me a call, and I couldn’t have been more excited for them!!! I can’t wait to meet their little bundle, I have a feeling its gonna be one cute baby!
I’ve been wanting to try some outdoor Newborn shots for a while now, but it just hasn’t been possible. When I travelled to a property on the outskirts of Walcha(on a stinking hot day) a few weeks ago, everything fell into place and we gave it a go.
Florence was a dream to photograph. She curled up and went to sleep straight to sleep when I wrapped her up. So we grabbed a beautiful wooden basket from her parents lounge-room, filled it with soft blankets, and found a pretty, shady spot in the garden and got to work.
After that we moved inside, gave Florence a little top-up feed(it was a really hot day!) and got some beautiful curled up sleepy shots too. I love how these images came out and I’m so grateful to my Clients for trusting me when I say things like “you know what would look really awesome…..”
Leah’s sister arranged this Maternity Session for her all the way from Queensland, how nice is that? The weather was the perfect. Just the right mix of sunny but not too hot, and fresh but not too cold. We met out at Gostwyck just before sunset on a Friday evening and had a few laughs together. I love that these guys are waiting until their baby is born to find out what they are having. Boy or girl – what do you think?
Five years ago Maria went on an adventure. She travelled all the way to Australia from Spain and ended up in Murrurundi. She wondered who she would possibly meet in such a teeny tiny town.
She met Bryan. They fell in love and were married. Now, they’re on the cusp of a new adventure. Together.
“Is this your photo shoot or mummy’s Sybella?” asked Dan. “Umm. It’s mine.” said Sybella. Yep, it certainly was! She stole the show with her sweet smile and her chatter about the colourful feathers & the Autumn leaves we collected during the session. And we still managed to get some beautiful photos of Holli’s gorgeous bump too! Enjoy!
Saying It’s been a busy year is an understatement. It’s been a huge, enormous, gigantic, hectic year. I’ve met and photographed some amazing families over the last 12 months(some of them more than once). And I can’t wait to do it all again next year.
Are you expecting? Has it been a while since your last family photo? Have you booked your session? I’d love to meet you in 2014!
Here are some of my favourite shots from 2013. Enjoy!
